The A-Team singer picked up the Best British Male trophy beating the likes of Professor Green, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, James Blake and James Morrison. He also won the Best British Breakthrough Act gong, seeing off tough competition from Emeli Sande and Jessie J - who went home empty handed despite being named in three categories.Adele was named Best British Female and picked up the biggest accolade at the ceremony - the Mastercard British Album Of The Year gong for her LP, 21. Accepting her prize from George Michael, Adele was greeted by huge applause stating she was "so proud" to have won - before being cut off by host James Corden. Other winners on the night included Rihanna, One Direction and L! ana Del Rey, while Blur picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Music accolade. Damon Albarn and Co also performed a five-song set, kicking off with Boys & Girls and storming their way through hits Song 2 and Parklife.
